Berwick by the Sea is inspired by Campbell River’s natural beauty. Resembling both a stately ship and a welcoming lodge, this spacious six-storey building still feels approachable thanks to the use of a pavilion entrance, intimate gathering spaces and stunning landscaping, such as the inner courtyard’s Japanese garden. The interior design pays tribute to the region’s history of fishing, logging and mining by incorporating nautical elements, archival photographs and genuine artifacts to create an authentic sense of place.

Casually elegant and nautically themed with a cozy fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows, this is the perfect spot to take in dramatic ocean and city views. The lounge gets its name from the historic Tyee fishing club and even features a traditional Tyee boat hanging from the ceiling!
